HSR AND ECRL
- What is HSR ?
HSR is known as High Speed Rails. HSR is a type of rail transport that operates significantly faster than traditional rail traffic, using an integrated system of specialized rolling stock and dedicated tracks.
There are some mission of High Speed Rail :
- forming of technical and management competences for the development of high speed rail lines project
- forming of the regulatory system for the realization of high speed rail line projects in line with private-public partnership principles
- harmonization of international standards and creation of national standards for high-speed rail lines as part of international standards
ECRL or known as East Coast Rail Line. It is proposed railway line connecting Kuala Lumpur to the states of the East Coast Economic Region namely Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan. This project get the cooperation with China which is the country will build and provide financing for Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link ( ECRL ), a RM55 billion rail project spanning four states.

The project from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) was announced by the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib in September 2010 to connect Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru with Singapore. On 19 February 2013, Singapore and Malaysia officially agreed to build a high speed rail link between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore by 2020.

For HSR :
- To be regarding skills transfer
Singapore does not have high speed rail technology experience that is why the projects are give an opportunity to build expertise. It also will develop manpower in the sector and set a foundation for the development technology.
- provide job opportunity to others
All the process from construction until the operations, all workers in Malaysia will be directly involved in various capacity and manpower. Then, it will result of improvement of business opportunities around Jurong East terminus in diverse sectors including tourism, hospitality, retail, logistics and many more.
- business activity will overflow into Malaysia from Singapore
Nowadays, we can see from shopping mall in Johor for example have near transportation places like KTM ( HSR ). This will growth rate of Johor and the property sector too. Many Singaporean already live in Johor but more will begin to own and develop resources.
For ECRL :
- it is act as stimulus for the construction sector when completed
Because it will form part of the Pan-Asia railway network that will boost connectively with ASEAN, Asian, and European countries that will greatly boost international trade of Malaysia.
- The ECRL Project contributed as much as an additional 1.5% GDP annual growth
it is based on average to the east coast region over the next 50 years where the main beneficiaries would be the rural and semi-rural Rakyat of the East coast states. Due to its economic and development benefits, the government will ensure that this project will be successfully implemented.
As a conclusions, the government need to invest more in infrastructure, and many more to give benefits in our country. From that, it will being Malaysia popular in certain aspects .
